I am so happy to have attended the Team Engagement 101 meeting led by the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute this evening. On May 8th at 7am I will begin my walk located at Town Field Park, (1520 Dorchester Ave). I'll be walking alongside people who are healing from homicide, substance overdose, those who have been incarcerated, those who have found themselves without choices of whether or not a loved one gets to live another day. All of the funds you see on my page go to providing "Peace Play" Sand Tray Therapy to community members struggling in the fight for their mental health. My goals is to fundraise $1000 so more people can receive Sand Trays. Mental Health has been a huge challenge throughout the pandemic so please consider supporting by donating. You can also register to be a walker at this event (if you sign up before April 1st - you will get a free t shirt). In addition to my work to fundraise money online, I am working with Mass General (Team MGH) to fundraise on campus. This work means so much to me because I understand how violence has impacted the mental health of my family and I want to rise up and DO SOMETHING. Please join me in the fight to uplift the community. Thanks! - Damien
