As many of you know we lost our dearest Azhar to a homicide last Summer. If it were not for the love and support that my sister and family received from the staff of the Peace Institute, this already difficult situation, would have been even worse. Like so many other survivors of homicide, murder, trauma, grief, and loss... our family was able to lay Azhar to rest with the dignity, compassion, and respect that all survivors need, regardless of the circumstances that led to their demise... thanks to the support of the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute. So every year for Mother's Day we pledge our support help raise funds for the organization that stepped up for our family in our most difficult of times.
