Highland Park Neighbors and Friends - latest update: most of us are planning on meeting up at 8:50 at First Church/UUUM, Eliot Square. From there we will walk down the hill to the Reggie Lewis Center, to be present for the 9:00 programming there... and join the folks walking from Dorchester who should arrive around 9:30 and walk on. Thanks to everyone who has donated and is joining us!! Look for the giant sunflowers to find our team!!
Please join us on Mother's Day, May 8th, to walk to "Build Together for Generation Peace". Let's gather in community (in person or virtually ) to help build peace here at home while acknowledging peace needs across the world. By walking and sharing stories , we honor our mothers and keep hope alive. .
On Thursday April 28 and May 5, 5:30-7:00 PM join us at Hawthorne Youth and Community Center, 9 Fulda Street, to make posters for the walk. We will provide art materials... Hope to see you.
Please help us support the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute by making a contribution to our team and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar we raise will advance this valuable local organization's mission as a Center of Healing, Teaching, and Learning and to respond effectively and equitably to murder, trauma, grief, and loss. Your investment allows LDBPI to continue to meet the needs of survivor families and communities that are consistent and compassionate to prevent cycles of retaliatory violence; support advocacy for policy that promotes dignity and compassion for all families impacted by murder; and continue to provide personalized training and education for response teams, professionals and students.
Together, we can make a difference and build together for Generation Peace!
with hope for peace, Wendy Ellertson, team captain
