Team Georgie

Team Georgie

This team is named after Georgie Hart, with permission from the Hart family.

Georgie, forever 27 years old, was an openly gay person, a Charlestown native, and drag performer who was once crowned “Boston’s most beautiful drag queen.” 51 years ago, Georgie was last seen at the Blue Mirror Cafe. The next morning, Georgie’s body was found in Sullivan Square on the other side of Charlestown. Although the prime suspect was known to police, charges were never filed, and he went on to kill two more people in 1974.

Team Georgie is walking for any homicide victim who was denied justice because of their identity.

Please help us support the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute by making a contribution to our team and sharing this page with your family and friends. Your investment allows the LDBPI to continue to meet the needs of  families and communities impacted by murder, trauma, grief and loss  that are consistent and compassionate. Together, we can make a difference and cultivate cycles of peace!
